Welcome to the ELA, English Language Learning page! What you see in the photo above is a page from the book we once used, frequently, to look up words and definitions – It is a dictionary. Every aspect of learning English can be found inside the pages of this book. This section of my site will help you read and speak better. This page will be the anchor with links to the information pages.
Let’s go on this journey together!
Learning Pages
- Alphabet – This page with fun videos for youths and adults will help you hear and learn the letters needed to spell words
- Vocabulary – This page contains lists of the most used words and their parts of speech. It can help you construct sentences. Review the Parts of Speech page to learn how to use these words to write about and describe your world. There is also a link to the Merriam- Webster dictionary for definitions (what the words mean).
- Spelling – This page is combined with Syntax and Parts of Speech as a convenience. When you are familiar with this page, you will be ready to start writing your own sentences, paragraphs and stories.
- Parts of Speech – The videos on this page will help you learn how to use the parts of speech. Listen as often as you like.
- Syntax (Sentence Construction) – There is a more informative page “Coming Soon“!
