This page and blog is devoted to teaching everyday people how important it is to develop a D.R.E.A.M. Strategy that takes care of their largest organ … their skin!
We’ll start with a description of skin and its real job. Skin has 3 primary jobs – it is your protector, regulator and sensor. We’ll explore these areas in more depth.
This post will focus on your skin as protector. It is a barrier that encloses and protects the skeleton, flesh, muscles, and organs. There are many miraculous things your skin can do as protector. When you look down or in the mirror, you see skin cells that completely cover your body. Some areas, such as the back of your hands, have a different type of cells than the palms of your hands. Each has a different function to fulfill. We will visit them all!
